Terms of Business:
Everything below may sound pretty formal but much of it is the result of one or two clients who decided to mess me about and as a consequence I have had no choice but to formalize my terms of business and request that all my clients read this. My apologies for having to do so.
Price, Deposits and Payment
Bulimia correction therapy = £250. A non refundable deposit of £50 is payable upon booking your session. The remaining balance is payable at the end of the session. Payments are by cash or cheque.
Occasionally, and at request I may work with other issues usually phobias in which case the price may be different. If you have been quoted a different price please write "price quoted = ..." on your booking form.
Success
I want all my clients to be successful and so I only take clients on when I am confident I can help but ultimately my fee is for my time and my expertise. Your success will depend partly upon you and your willingness to fully participate.
For Your Own Benefit Please Ensure You Are In Good Health
It is important that clients are in good health at the time of their session. Heavy Colds/flu or other illnesses can significantly and adversly affect sessions.
If you are unwell in any way please tell me as soon as you can. Remember, I only undertake ONE session with each client. Rescheduling is far preferable to ensure that you get the best possible session and result.
General Terms of Business:
All clients are required to complete a questionnaire before undertaking hypnotherapy, in which they are asked to disclose certain medical/other information. This information is treated with confidentiality and is requested in order that you will get the best hypnotherapy possible. The information provided on this website is not a substitute for medical advice. If in doubt, please consult your doctor or licensed medical practitioner.
If you are epileptic, or undergoing psychiatric treatment, then you should obtain a letter from your medical practitioner to confirm that you may have hypnotherapy and this should be done prior to booking an appointment
You may need GP approval particularly if you are currently undergoing treatment in which case you should inform your GP that you are coming for hypnotherapy. You will also need to give consent for me to write to your GP either before or after your session in the event that it might be felt to be appropriate.
Other than any payment related issues, anything which is discussed during your session or sessions will be treated as confidential. (Clearly the processing of payments may involve a third party)
For the purposes of continued professional development your session might be recorded.
Please note that although hypnosis can be very effective it would be unrealistic to claim that hypnosis comes with a 100% guarantee of success.
Bounced Cheques
Bounced cheques or late payment may attract additional charges at my discretion.
Cancellations / Failure to Attend:
If You Cancel or Fail To Attend
It is important to be there at the correct time for your appointment. Clients who are not present within fifteen minutes of the agreed appointment time MAY be classed as having failed to attend. (see below) Remember to bring a mobile phone so you can ring me if you have problems.
If you cancel at short notice or fail to attend at the time agreed you may lose your deposit.
In the past some clients have messed me about. I do not accept rebookings if I feel that this has been the case. This is the reason why I now request all clients to complete and return a booking form.
If I have to cancel at short notice
Because I know how important this is to you I will always endevour to meet you at the time arranged. If I have to cancel at the last minute or if I can give the client less than 24 hours notice I will fully refund the deposit if requested. Additionally the fee for the session when rescheduled would be reduced too. Please note: Especially for those who have had to travel I will do everything I can to meet my commitment to you on the day arranged but I take no responsibility for any costs incurred.
